RICK VAN KOOTEN

Rick Van Kooten is Professor of Physics and the Vice Provost for Research at Indiana University Bloomington. His research focuses on elementary particle physics. He has pursued his studies at the highest energy electron-positron colliders in the world and at the energy frontier of hadronic colliders. As the Vice Provost for Research, he oversees a number of research centers and programs on the Bloomington campus and helps to implement the university’s Grand Challenges program, which targets “major and large-scale problems” facing humanity that can “only be addressed by multidisciplinary teams of the best researchers.”
